Have you ever heard of the word SGM?

 

SGM is an acronym of Sexual and Gender Minorities, which means a group of people whose sexual identity or gender orientation or practices differ from the majority of the surrounding society.

 

We are trying to make a place for SGM. Usually, we hold monthly meetings in somewhere in Hokkaido University. To protect members’ privacy, detailed locations of the meetings are opened only to the participants.

 

Not all participants are SGM. Some of them are still unsure about their identities. There are also people who are called ‘straight ally’, who support civil rights, gender equality, and so on. Events schedules are available on our Twitter, Facebook, and web site.

 

We’ve held many events such as Halloween party, hanging out, and so on. We’ve also participated in an exhibition of Sapporo Rainbow Pride. Please contact us for further information!
